Community BUilder

Community Builder is a stalwort amongst the Joomla community. CB is compatible with both 1.0.x (natively) and 1.5.x (in legacy mode) in Joomla OS, and allows a user to easily implement a community based website. We love the ability to customize through many plugins specifically for CB, and that your lists can be customized or altered to display exactly what you need to display. The customization for function is easy. Just select the plugin and install. Configuration takes the most time, because you have to decide the best possible setup for your fields, tabs and associated lists, but there are endless capabilities for CB. The documentation/support isn't the greatest, but with a small pentance, you can get the developers involved for your benefit or get access to their documentation. After all, it helps that such a great component be supported financially.

NOTE: CB 1.2 is due out soon. Watch their site for the coming "art in action" release that should be 1.5.x native and retro to 1.0.x.
